After several weeks of uncertainty, the Montreal Canadiens will finally be able to play their home games at the Bell Centre this winter.

Both the organization and the Publique Health Direction of Quebec confirmed this information to La Presse on Monday morning.

« The five provinces concerned and the Public Health Agency of Canada have made recommendations to NHL teams for the resumption of their activities and for the 2021 season. We have accepted their revised protocol. We agree with the start of the training camp on Sunday and the return to play in mid-January if all goes well, » said a spokesperson for the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services.

The Tricolore will begin its on the road season on January 13 in Toronto. The first home game is scheduled for January 28 against the Calgary Flames.

The Montreal games will initially be played behind closed doors, without spectators. At this time, red zone gatherings remain prohibited.
