Guhle will not be at the Canadien’s training camp

Supporters of the Canadiens will not be able to see the prospect Kaiden Guhle in action. According to The Athletic reporter Arpon Basu, the first round pick of the Canadien in 2020 Kaiden Guhle will not be able to participate in the CH training camp.

The 18-year old defenceman will head to Montreal after tonight’s gold medal game at the World Junior Hockey Championship in Edmonton, but will have to be quarantined upon arrival and therefore will not be ready in time to join his new teammates at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard. Guhle is doing a great job with Team Canada. He’s good in his zone, uses his size well and has collected 3 points, including 2 goals, so far.

However, he should be able to participate in the Laval Rocket training camp.

The Tricolore’s farm team will also play in a 100% Canadien division, with the Toronto Marlies, the Sens de Belleville and the Manitoba Moose. The teams in this northern section of the American league are still awaiting authorization from the public health authorities in their respective provinces.
